Description

The Complete GI-MAP (GI-Microbial Assay Plus) is a DNA-based stool test that uses qPCR technology to assess the microbial ecosystem of the gut. It identifies a wide range of pathogens and imbalances—bacteria, parasites, yeast, fungi, and viruses—while also evaluating digestion, inflammation, immune response, leaky gut (zonulin), and more.

This test is ideal for individuals struggling with chronic or unexplained health concerns, even when on a clean, meat-based diet.

In addition to identifying specific organisms, the GI-MAP provides insight into antibiotic resistance genes and natural agent sensitivity, helping guide treatment.

Why it matters

An imbalanced gut microbiome can contribute to digestive discomfort, inflammation, immune dysfunction, skin conditions, hormonal imbalance, mental health concerns, and poor detox capacity. The GI-MAP allows for precise, targeted interventions by showing exactly what’s out of balance and why.

The GI-MAP test allows practitioners to precisely identify microbial imbalances, infections, inflammation, and digestive insufficiencies, making it easier to design a targeted plan. By understanding what’s truly going on inside the gut, you can move beyond guesswork and toward meaningful, root-cause healing. The test is especially helpful for chronic symptoms that haven’t resolved through diet alone or for those with persistent infections, gut inflammation, or suspected microbial overgrowth.

Symptoms it may relate to

  • Gas, bloating, diarrhea, or constipation
  • Brain fog, low energy, and poor focus
  • Acne, eczema, or psoriasis
  • Hormonal imbalances and infertility
  • Suspected H. pylori or parasitic infection
  • Chronic IBS/IBD, GERD, or SIBO
  • Strong body odor, bad breath, or weight loss resistance
  • Yeast infections or fungal overgrowth
  • ADHD, autism, and behavioral issues

What this includes

  • Analysis of 40+ gut markers: pathogens, commensals, digestion, inflammation, and immune function
  • Detection of antibiotic resistance genes and virulence factors
